Bollore carries out exceptional operation in Senegal

On March 06th 2022, Bolloré Logistics carried out an exceptional operation for an Oil & Gas project.

On behalf of its client Eiffage Génie Civil Marine, Bolloré Transport & Logistics Senegal teams carried out the consignment and the handling of 20 packages on board and on land. This included 12 pieces of out of gauge equipment weighing nearly 62 tons per unit and reaching a length of more than 14 meters.

The system set up on the ship and on land enabled the teams to successively carry out the unstowing, slinging and adjustment phases on trucks, while ensuring that the shipment were properly delivered.

Given the sensitivity of the equipment, as well as its exceptional dimensions, 3 road units made up of 6×4 tractors and 90 to 100 T tankers were used to remove all the parts, in order to avoid load breakage at the quay.

The 3 tankers carried out the transport and the delivery from under the quay to the customer’s site, located at the mole 8 of the port of Dakar.

The operation completed on March 7th 2022, satisfied the client Eiffage Génie Civil Marine Senegal, who praised the expertise and performance of the Bolloré Logistics Senegal teams.
