EXG completes challenging transport to Egypt

Express Global Logistics (EXG), a Project Logistics Alliance member from India and a leading player in the logistics industry has once again demonstrated its prowess by successfully completing a challenging task – transporting four massive heat exchangers from India to Egypt. This remarkable achievement not only underscores EXG’s commitment to excellence but also showcases its dedication to ensuring customer satisfaction.
The logistics industry often deals with challenging and oversized cargo, and this project was no exception. EXG was entrusted with the responsibility of transporting four colossal heat exchangers, collectively weighing a staggering 300 metric tons. These heat exchangers had a total cubic measurement of 1426 CBM. To put it into perspective, they were of two sizes: two units measuring 40.7 x 3.5 x 3.75 meters each and another two units measuring 12.5 x 4.15 x 3.45 meters each. The complexity of handling such massive cargo requires meticulous planning and execution.
The standout aspects of this project was EXG’s ability to surpass customer expectations. The company met the expected timeline and ensured that the customer’s deadline was comfortably met. This commitment to exceeding customer expectations is at the heart of EXG’s operations. EXG’s dedication to its customers was further demonstrated by its ability to eliminate any waiting periods at the loading port. By coordinating with the relevant authorities for documents and permits, EXG ensured that the cargo was ready for transport as soon as needed.
One of the challenges faced in this project was finding a suitable heavy-lift vessel to transport the four heat exchangers. EXG, with its years of expertise and industry connections, tackled this challenge with remarkable proficiency. The journey from India’s east coast to Egypt involved careful coordination and efficient utilisation of resources. EXG chose the Heavy Lift Break Bulk Vessel as the mode of transportation for these heat exchangers. This choice highlighted EXG’s commitment to ensuring critical cargo’s safe and timely delivery.
Additionally, the company worked diligently with authorities to avoid congestion and ensure smooth operations throughout the project.
