GTA boosts presence with Neon Hire purchase

A leading powered access company has continued to boost its fleet of trucks after strengthening its presence across the UK with the purchase of another business.

GT Access, based in Bromsgrove, operates across seven depots in the Midlands, Sussex and South Wales with a modern fleet of just over 2,000 access platforms.

It’s recent purchase of Bedfordshire-based Neon Hire will add a further five depots in Luton, Peterborough, Brentwood, central London and a sub-depot at the NEC in Birmingham.

Following on from this, the company has recently purchased three striking IVECO S-WAY’s from Iveco’s largest truck dealer group in the UK, Guest Truck and Van.

The new GT Access S-WAY vehicles, which take the total truck fleet to more than 30 Iveco vehicles, stand out on the roads thanks to their matte black finish.

Company owner, Jonathan Till, said: “We have worked with Guest Truck and Van for around 15 years and as we are constantly adding to our fleet and looking at opportunities to grow, the relationship has been very positive over the years.

“The matte-black finish actually means that these S-WAY’s stand out from our fleet, which is metallic black usually. We are really happy with how they look and they have been getting a lot of attention on the roads.”

The S-Way AS440S48TX/P 6×2 vehicles, which boast 480hp and include driver comforts such as a premium fridge freezer and air conditioning will be maintained on a five year full repair and maintenance contract.

A range of extras including warning lights and cameras to comply with the London FORS scheme were also installed by Guest Truck and Van sister company, Vehicle Lining Services.

Robert Spittle, Managing Director of Guest Truck and Van, said: “We are delighted to support GT Access as they enter an exciting period, taking on a new business and growing all the time.

“These are the first trucks we’ve supplied in a factory matte finish and I’m really impressed to see how the base colour and finish adds drama to an already eye-catching livery.

“Their investment in the IVECO S-WAY is an indication of their commitment to quality and long-term thinking – all of the feedback we have had on the S-WAY’s we have sold has been fantastic, they are clearly here for the long haul.”
