Rhenus commissions PV system in Eisenach

The Rhenus logistics hub in Eisenach has commissioned its large-scale photovoltaic (PV) system.

The new installation covers a total area of 30,000 square meters, completely covering three warehouse roofs at the site. With a peak output of 2.4 megawatts, the state-of-the-art system can generate enough electricity to supply the equivalent of approximately 750 households annually.

“With the commissioning of the new PV system, we have successfully completed a long-term construction project that reinforces our commitment to more resource-efficient logistics operations at the Eisenach site,” said Andreas Klös, Branch Manager of Rhenus Warehousing Solutions Eisenach.

Its offerings include end-to-end logistics solutions, covering goods receipt, warehousing, order picking, and distribution.
