Qazag Green and Sarens Kazakhstan enter MoU

The Association of Legal Entities “Qazaq Green” and Sarens Kazakhstan LLP have signed a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation aimed at supporting the development of renewable energy projects in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The document provides a framework for combining Qazaq Green’s industry expertise with Sarens Kazakhstan’s engineering and logistics capabilities to facilitate the implementation of wind and solar energy projects, as well as the development of sustainable energy infrastructure.

The cooperation will cover the exchange of information on prospective projects, facilitation of business contacts among market participants, engagement with investors, developers, equipment manufacturers and EPC contractors, and exploration of opportunities for joint initiatives.

Attention will be given to the engineering and logistics solutions required for the construction of renewable energy facilities. Sarens Kazakhstan has expertise in the transportation of oversized and heavy cargo, transport concept development, multimodal logistics, and complex lifting and rigging operations. These services play an important role in the delivery and installation of wind turbine components, transformers and other oversized energy equipment.

As part of their cooperation, the parties also intend to exchange industry expertise, participate in relevant industry events, hold business meetings, and explore opportunities to develop local capabilities, engage Kazakhstani suppliers and contractors, and improve the efficiency and resilience of supply chains for renewable energy projects.

“The development of renewable energy requires not only investment and the adoption of advanced technologies, but also the establishment of efficient infrastructure to support project implementation. Cooperation with Sarens Kazakhstan will enable us to expand engagement with companies possessing specialised engineering and logistics expertise and will help strengthen connections among participants in the renewable energy market,” said Ainur Sospanova, Chairperson of the Board of Qazaq Green.

Mark Duncan, Executive Director of Sarens Kazakhstan, expressed the company’s interest in strengthening cooperation with participants in Kazakhstan’s renewable energy market and applying advanced logistics and engineering solutions to the implementation of energy projects.

The signing of the Memorandum establishes a framework for long-term cooperation between the parties. Specific projects, scope of services, technical requirements, timelines and commercial terms will be agreed separately as opportunities for mutual cooperation arise.
