Sarens partners to launch Sarens Wind Service

At the forefront of the energy transition, Sarens, as the Sustainability Accelerator in our secrtor, is bringing the world smarter engineering solutions, cleaner opportunities, and game-changing innovations that are transforming the offshore/onshore wind and clean energy sectors.

Sarens has a track record of installing more than 1000MW of wind turbines across Europe, wind specific operations in more than 17 countries, and over 100 specialised wind professionals. Continuing with our effort to serve this green market, Sarens joined hands with a Polish-based partner and launched Sarens Wind Service (SWS) – a specialised division for the onshore and offshore wind market. The major scope of this division will be maintenance of wind turbines with focus on gear boxes. Our Polish partner has extensive experience in the construction and service of onshore and offshore wind turbines.

Sarens Wind Service will prove advantageous to the clients who will benefit from a reputable supplier’s turnkey service. It will also provide: Safety and stability of conducted projects; End-to-end turbine lifecycle services from one company; Experience and know-how of a major contributor to the market.

The SWS will help both companies complete our service offerings, leading to an enhanced service provider appeal with an expanded portfolio and ideal market position in local markets. This will also help to optimally utilise available company resources and eventually provide wind turbine construction services (CI) leveraging these internal resources and expertise.

The key services offered by this specialised division include: Full warranty & post-warranty, retrofit and statutory testing services; Audits; Replacement of major components; Repowering; Turbine construction; Turbine decommission.

According to Mariusz Sudoł, Regional Director of Northern and Eastern Europe, “Through Sarens Wind Services, we would like to provide maintenance services for wind farms in Finland and Sweden and we will continue service work in the UK, Ireland, and Germany.” He adds, “By 2025, we aim to have individual and robust departments for turbine construction, offshore building and service, and blade repair. We will also be opening a GWO academy (GWO BST) to provide training related to BTT, sea survival, hub, and nacelle.”
