Rhenus Czech Republic opens new warehouse in Prague
Rhenus Czech Republic has invested in a new warehouse in Prague to support its continued growth.
The logistics specialist has opened the BREEAM certified 14,000 square metre site to support its groupage business and regular departures to key locations across Europe, with remaining warehouse space available to the open market.
The new Rhenus warehouse has been selected due to its location on the outskirts of the capital Prague and its excellent transport links across the Czech Republic. The site is a Rhenus groupage hub for the Czech Republic and Slovakia, as well as for managing daily departures from Prague to locations in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland and Germany and regular departures to the UK, Italy, Spain, France and the Baltics.
The warehouse will replace the former Rhenus site at Nučice and inside its 14,000 square metre warehouse footprint, boasts a 6,500 square metre cross-dock area with 67 gates, to improve efficiency and support the growing international Rhenus customer-base across the automotive, construction and food markets.

The new site focuses on innovative solutions to deal with peak time transport and warehousing needs, including 24/7 loading through stand-by trailers and a new cross-dock area which allows for a higher efficiency warehouse and quicker loading and unloading times for goods.
With warehouse capacity in short supply across the Czech Republic, the new Rhenus warehouse in Prague provides much-needed capacity to the growing market.
