Rhenus appoints new Southern Europe CEO
On 1 January 2022, Emanuele Orso will take over as head of Rhenus Air & Ocean Southern Europe Region, which groups together the national divisions of France, Italy, Portugal and Spain.
The closely-knitted operational structure in the regional areas has already rendered it possible to connect the various countries in southern Europe covered by the multinational company, facilitating the proactive integration of available services in line with the Rhenus philosophy of “Together with Passion”.
The decision to place Emanuele Orso at the head of Rhenus Air & Ocean’s Southern Europe Region is part of the company’s long-term vision to strengthen its global presence. The company has placed importance of building a network that has reliable, local divisions in the following regions: The Americas, Asia-Pacific, South Africa as well as Northern Europe and Southern Europe.
Born in 1977, Orso became General Manager of the Italian Rhenus Air & Ocean Division in January 2020 after more than 20 years in Cesped, where he held various roles in the sales and operations area until becoming General Manager of the Air & Ocean Division.
