Rhenus delivers critical transformers for major Canadia project
Rhenus Project Logistics teams in Canada and China have successfully transported more than 400 metric tons of transformer equipment in support of a major Canadian industrial project.
The shipments included two oversized transformers, each weighing 80 metric tons, highlighting the specialized transportation and lifting solutions required throughout the project. Across multiple project phases, the company has managed a series of complex multimodal movements from China to Canada, demonstrating its expertise in planning and executing oversized and heavy-lift cargo transportation. These deliveries represented a series of essential infrastructure movements requiring careful planning, specialized handling, and coordination across multiple transportation modes.
Each transformer required coordinated transfers between ocean vessels, rail networks and specialized heavy-haul road transport before final installation at site. From origin through final installation, Rhenus managed the movement of oversized cargo through a carefully coordinated multimodal transportation strategy. The operation concluded with the precise and safe placement of transformer equipment at its final destination, supporting the successful delivery and installation of critical infrastructure components.
