Continental Cargo modernises trailer fleet

DARTFORD, UK: April 2019. Specialist full and part-load operator Continental Cargo Carriers (CCC) has acquired 35 new trailers as part of a plan to modernise its 270-vehicle fleet.

Company general manager Carlo Turner commented: “This is the second investment in trailers in the past year with another scheduled for end of 2019.  We believe it is very important to maintain a high standard of equipment ensuring we operate a modern fleet that maximises pay-loads whilst benefiting from the latest chassis and brake technology but ultimately, looking good on the roads of Europe.”

All of CCC’s trailers are now tracked to give customers real-time location updates.

The company completed the relocation of its Ramsgate sales and operations team to Dartford earlier this year – the first of a series of developments following its acquisition by the Europa Worldwide Group in 2018.

Established in 1973, CCC operates daily full and part-load consignments throughout Europe. The company operates a 4,000 sq.mt. warehouse and employs more than 100 people in Belgium and the UK.
