Sarens completes SPMT load-out in Poland
Sarens has completed the SPMT load-out of newly built floating dock sections at Szczecin Shipyard “Wulkan” in Poland for TREND Projekt.
The operation formed an important stage in the construction of a new Polish floating dock, which is expected to become one of the largest floating docks in the Baltic Sea.
Sarens carried out the load-out of floating dock sections weighing approximately 4.000 tonnes each onto the BOA 35 barge. Following the successful load-out operation, the dock sections were launched and will be connected on the water in the next stage of the project.
The operation was carried out using 168 axle lines of SPMTs and six KAMAG K24ST power pack units. This configuration provided the capacity and control required to move the heavy dock sections safely from the fabrication area onto the barge.
Sarens’ expertise in complex heavy transport operations, and our strong partnership with the client paved way for a smooth execution of the project. The project required close coordination and precise execution to manage the movement of the large dock sections during the load-out process.
Through its engineered SPMT solution, Sarens supported a key construction milestone for the new floating dock, contributing to the continued development of shipbuilding and maritime infrastructure in Poland.
