Anna Mascolo joins Vestas from Shell
Vestas is pleased to announce Anna Mascolo as President of Vestas Northern & Central Europe and Global Offshore.
Anna Mascolo succeeds Nils de Baar, who after more than ten years as Regional President has decided to retire from operational roles, following an exceptional tenure marked by strong growth, market expansion, and deep customer partnerships.
Anna Mascolo joins Vestas from Shell, where she most recently served as Executive Vice President of Low Carbon Solutions, leading Shell’s global business focused on delivering decarbonisation solutions for customers. She brings more than 25 years of international leadership experience in energy, spanning research, trading, aviation, chemicals, M&A and low-carbon technologies. Prior to her current role, she held several senior leadership positions at Shell, including President of Global Aviation, Vice Chair of the Raizen Board and currently serves on the board of Rolls-Royce SMR. Anna Mascolo has her first day at Vestas today, while Nils de Baar will leave Vestas by end of September following a thorough handover with partners and colleagues at Vestas.

As President of Northern & Central Europe and Global Offshore, Anna Mascolo will be responsible for leading Vestas’ sales, construction, service, and development activities of onshore wind across the region as well as Global Offshore, supporting customers in their efforts to deliver affordable, secure, and sustainable energy.
