Sarens acquires additional SCHEUERLE modules

Sarens, one of the world’s leading heavy-load logistics providers, has been using the SPMT K24 since 1985.

The company has now once again purchased numerous axle lines. In particular, Sarens appreciates the reliability and broad application range of the self-propelled modular transporters from the TII Group.

Sarens strives to be the reference for its customers when it comes to crane rental, heavy load transport and technical transport. Thereby, the industry experts from the TII Group have been supporting the globally-operating company since the 1980s. In accordance with its motto “TII: Move the World”, the TII Group’s transport solutions enable customers to master even the most complex transport assignments and literally put them in a position to move the world.

A promise that has also convinced Sarens for a very long time: the company has just taken delivery of additional SCHEUERLE SPMT K24 axle lines. The TII Group and Sarens are thus continuing to expand their trusted and fruitful partnership. One highlight: The heavy-load logistics provider acquired its one thousandth SPMT K24 axle line back in 2013.

Because the SPMT K24 modules, available with 4, 5, 6 or 8-axle lines and providing up to 60 tons of axle load, can be coupled mechanically “side-by-side” or “end-to-end” as well as used electronically in a coupling mode configuration, their payload is theoretically unlimited. It is also possible to couple older models with newer versions. The electronic multi-directional steering also makes the modular transporters extremely manouverable. Furthermore, the SPMT K24 also features a container width and can therefore be loaded onto flat racks. This means it can be delivered to any location worldwide in a particularly cost-effective way.

Sarens uses SPMT K24 modular transporters for a broad spectrum of applications including transporting oil and gas platform modules, complete bridges and other oversized and heavy components, for example, in shipyards and the construction and mining industries. One remarkable sensational assignment was the relocation of the Pharaoh Cheops 4,500-year-old sun barque over a distance of ten kilometers from the Khufu Boat Museum to the Great Egyptian Museum. In addition to its own operations, Sarens also rents out its axle lines to third-party companies. The SPMT K24 is also suitable for the transport of rotor blades, wind tower segments, nacelles, tripods, monopiles and power plant modules moving payloads ranging from several hundred to several thousand tons and is therefore an important component of the energy transition through to the use of renewable energies.

The TII Group’s 24/7 service spectrum and spare parts are available worldwide in line with the global distribution of the axle lines. This, in conjunction with the remote maintenance option of the modules, guarantees very high uptime rates.
