Sarens Nass Middle East (SNME) has formed a strategic Joint Venture with the Greek wind installation specialist Anipsotiki, bringing together SNME’s regional lifting strength and infrastructure with Anipsotiki’s specialised wind installation expertise to serve the rapidly expanding renewable energy market across the Middle East. <\/strong><\/p>\n

The newly established JV has already secured its first major contract, awarded by the Chinese turbine manufacturer Goldwind, one of the world’s leading wind energy companies.<\/p>\n

Sarens Nass Middle East was established in 2003 as a joint venture between the Nass Group of Bahrain and Sarens NV of Belgium, bringing together two family-owned industrial groups with deep roots in their respective markets. Over two decades, SNME has grown into the operator of the region’s largest heavy lift and transport fleet, with more than 4.000 cranes and transport units serving clients across the Gulf in oil and gas, petrochemicals, infrastructure, ports and industrial projects. It is that combination of local ownership and global engineering capability that the new Joint Venture with Anipsotiki now extends into wind. “This joint venture brings together complementary strengths and a shared ambition to build lasting wind installation capabilities in the Middle East. Our first contract with Goldwind is an important step towards that ambition, combining regional scale with specialist expertise to deliver projects safely, reliably and with meaningful local participation,” said Alhanoof Sami Nass, Regional Director of Sarens Nass Middle East and Board Member of the SNME-Anipsotiki Joint Venture.<\/p>\n

This partnership combines SNME’s strong footprint and heavy lifting capabilities across the Middle East with Anipsotiki’s extensive experience in wind turbine installation and specialised manpower dedicated to the wind sector. Anipsotiki has successfully delivered wind projects across Europe, North Africa and the Middle East, operating in diverse terrains and regulatory environments. Its specialised wind installation teams bring deep technical knowledge, precision execution and a strong safety culture, all critical factors for the successful delivery of modern wind energy projects.<\/p>\n

Together, the Joint Venture holds access to more than 100 pieces of wind turbine installation equipment, including crawler cranes, mobile cranes and specialised installation tools. This combined fleet ensures flexibility, scalability and the ability to support multiple wind projects across the region simultaneously. “Anipsotiki has spent years installing wind turbines in some of the most demanding conditions in Europe, North Africa and the Middle East. What this Joint Venture adds is regional scale, the fleet, the footprint and the local presence to apply that experience across the Gulf. Goldwind is exactly the right project to start with,” said Kostas Iliadis, Project Director Wind Energy of Anipsotiki.<\/p>\n

For its first contract with Goldwind, the JV will deploy 58 pieces of equipment, including high-capacity crawler cranes and supporting auxiliary cranes, for the installation of tower sections, nacelles and blades. Securing this project shortly after forming the partnership is a strong validation of the JV’s technical capability, operational readiness and combined expertise in wind turbine installation.<\/p>\n

The Middle East is entering a decisive phase in its energy transition. Wind and solar developments across the region are expected to generate more than 150 GW of installed renewable capacity in the coming years, highlighting the scale and ambition of the region’s energy transformation.<\/p>\n

Through this Joint Venture, SNME and Anipsotiki combine global wind installation expertise with strong regional execution and local content capabilities, enabling turbine manufacturers and project developers to deliver large-scale renewable projects efficiently and safely. “Sarens has worked alongside the Nass family in the Middle East for more than twenty years, and that partnership is the foundation everything we do in the region is built on. This Joint Venture is the natural next step, bringing dedicated wind installation capability to the Gulf at the moment the region needs it most. As a family business, we invest for the long term, and we intend to be a lasting partner in the Middle East’s energy transition,” said Wim Sarens, CEO of Sarens Group and Board Member of the SNME-Anipsotiki Joint Venture.<\/p>\n

This first wind contract with Goldwind marks the beginning of what promises to be a long-term strategic collaboration, positioning the SNME-Anipsotiki Joint Venture as a key partner for wind turbine installation across the Middle East.
