Sarens has successfully engineered and tested a tailored heavy transport solution in partnership with Spark North East Link in Victoria, Australia.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The project demonstrates how Self-Propelled Modular Transporters, or SPMTs, can be used for far more than moving heavy loads from one point to another. In this case, Sarens developed a specialised system to transport and accurately install concrete panels inside a tunnel cavity, where precision, control, and compact engineering were essential.<\/p>\n

The solution combines 10 axles of Kamag K24ST SPMTs with a custom, in-house hydraulically operated frame designed by Sarens. Integrated to work as one seamless unit, the system is capable of handling loads of up to 36 tonnes and reaching heights of 12,5 metres.<\/p>\n

By combining the manoeuvrability of SPMTs with a purpose-built hydraulic frame, Sarens created a controlled and efficient installation method adapted to the specific requirements of the project environment. The successful test confirmed the system\u2019s ability to handle the panels safely and accurately, supporting the next stages of execution.<\/p>\n

This achievement reflects Sarens\u2019 strength in engineered transport: understanding the full potential of its equipment and adapting it to solve complex project challenges. It also highlights the importance of collaboration between Sarens and its client, Spark North East Link, whose teams worked together to develop, test, and validate the solution.<\/p>\n

Precision engineering, deep equipment knowledge, and excellent teamwork made this exceptional outcome possible. For Sarens, the project is another example of how tailored heavy transport solutions can support major infrastructure works with safety, accuracy, and technical excellence at their core.<\/p>\n
