Liebherr and Broekman Logistics present a new heavyweight to the Port of Rotterdam at the Broekman Project Services terminal. <\/strong><\/p>\n

The new crane is one of Liebherr\u2019s flagship mobile harbour crane models, offering a lifting capacity of up to 308 tonnes and designed for heavy and oversized cargo operations.<\/p>\n

For this terminal, the crane has been engineered with custom support pads to meet the specific conditions of the quay. Its configuration is tailored for project cargo and heavy-lift operations, where high load charts, stability and precision handling are critical. With the LHM 800, nicknamed Titan 1, Broekman strengthens its terminal capabilities while adding a new level of lifting performance to Rotterdam\u2019s maritime operations.<\/p>\n

The arrival of the LHM 800 marks a further step in the cooperation between Broekman Logistics and Liebherr. The official presentation of Titan 1 took place alongside the opening of the Broekman Logistics Heavy Lift Centre in Rotterdam.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe LHM 800 gives us the lifting performance and flexibility to handle larger and more complex cargo at our quayside,\u201d says Rob van Dijk, Director Terminal & Shipping at Broekman Logistics. \u201cCombined with our indoor lifting capacity of 700 tonnes by overhead crane, it strengthens our position as a heavy-lift specialist in Rotterdam.\u201d The crane fits Broekman Logistics\u2019 terminal ambitions and reflects the strong cooperation with Liebherr, where we worked together to translate quay requirements into a practical solution.<\/p>\n

From an engineering perspective, this project required careful coordination across all parties involved. The combination of high lifting performance and low ground loading called for a tailored support arrangement, with custom pads developed to suit the quay structure and operating environment.<\/p>\n

Site-adapted load distribution is an important enabler for high-capacity crane deployment. The result is a configuration that preserves the crane\u2019s operational strength while meeting the practical demands of the installation site. This is particularly relevant for terminals handling irregular cargo dimensions, concentrated loads and complex lift planning, which are key activities at Broekman Logistics.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis project shows what can be achieved when a customer\u2019s operational vision is matched by focused engineering and close cooperation,\u201d said Andreas Ritschel, General Manager Sales Mobile Harbour Cranes at Liebherr-Rostock GmbH. \u201cWe are proud to place this crane on Broekman\u2019s quayside and to deliver a solution that fulfils the technical requirements of the site while supporting the customer\u2019s next stage of growth.\u201d<\/p>\n

The introduction of Titan 1 underlines the cooperation between Liebherr and Broekman Logistics. It also marks an important milestone in a broader series of investments at the terminal, including the expansion of the quayside in 2024, the transformation of a storage hall for Battery Energy Storage Systems, and the further electrification of rolling equipment. Together, these developments support the continued growth of the Heavy Lift Centre as a key location for industrial logistics in Rotterdam, Germany and beyond.<\/p>\n
