Front Shipping AS, member to the Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC) for Norway, recently completed a complex door\u2011to\u2011door transportation project from Charleston to Oslo involving a 125\u2011ton cargo unit requiring urgent handling.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The shipment was transported on a gearless charter vessel under a last\u2011in\/first\u2011out (LIFO) arrangement to accelerate delivery. Upon arrival at the Port of Oslo, the unit was safely discharged using a 650\u2011ton mobile crane, moved to temporary port storage, and subsequently transported inland using specialized heavy\u2011haul equipment.<\/p>\n

At the final jobsite, the unit was accurately positioned onto its foundation, completing the operation.<\/p>\n
