Sarens is proud to contribute to a landmark renewable\u2011energy development in the Baltic Sea: the Baltic Power Offshore Wind Farm, Poland\u2019s first operational offshore wind installation. <\/strong><\/p>\n

With 76 turbines of approximately 15MW each and a total capacity between 1.1\u20131.2GW, Baltic Power will supply around 4TWh of clean electricity annually, enough to power more than 1.5 million households.<\/p>\n

Working on behalf of Customer Vestas, with PKN Orlen as the project owner, Sarens is executing extensive offshore wind turbine pre\u2011assembly works from the port of R\u00f8nne, Denmark.<\/p>\n

Located approximately 23 km north of the Polish coastline, near the municipalities of Choczewo and \u0141eba, the 130km\u00b2 offshore area is one of the region\u2019s most significant renewable developments. Baltic Power represents a major step forward for Poland\u2019s decarbonisation strategy, strengthening the national energy mix and accelerating the shift toward renewable power.<\/p>\n

Sarens was selected for this critical phase of the project thanks to our technical expertise, innovative solutions, and proven track record in large\u2011scale offshore wind logistics. Our ability to think \u201cout of the box\u201d and deliver turnkey engineered solutions positioned us as the preferred partner for the pre\u2011assembly activities.<\/p>\n

Throughout the project, Sarens is responsible for the handling, lifting, and pre\u2011assembly of the turbine components, including: 76 nacelles (approx. 715 tonnes each); 304 tower sections (up to 228 tonnes each); 228 blades (117 tonnes each).<\/p>\n

In total, this represents nearly 289,000 tonnes of offshore wind components handled at the port.<\/p>\n

To execute this demanding scope, Sarens deployed a powerful fleet of heavy lifting equipment, including: CC 9800; CC 6800; LR 1350; LR 1300; LR 1280; 80 SPMT axle lines.<\/p>\n

This combination delivers the capacity and flexibility required to support continuous component flow, from load\u2011in to storage, transport to quayside, and final pre\u2011assembly before offshore installation.<\/p>\n

Baltic Power is more than a construction project \u2014 it is a major step in the region\u2019s renewable\u2011energy journey. As the first offshore wind farm in Polish waters, it sets the standard for future developments and reinforces the essential role of heavy lifting expertise in enabling the clean\u2011energy transition.<\/p>\n
