Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, Ltd. (\u201cK\u201d LINE) and its wholly owned subsidiary Kawasaki Kinkai Kisen Kaisha, Ltd. (Kawasaki Kinkai Kisen) announce that \u201cK\u201d LINE has acquired all of the shares of \u201cK\u201d Line Wind Service, Ltd. (KWS) held by Kawasaki Kinkai Kisen, making it a wholly owned subsidiary of \u201cK\u201d LINE. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Previously, the two companies operated KWS as a joint venture.<\/p>\n

KWS was established in 2021 as a joint venture between \u201cK\u201d LINE and Kawasaki Kinkai Kisen. With a view toward the anticipated growth of offshore wind power generation, KWS is engaged in the offshore wind support vessel business, including the operation of work vessels and geotechnical survey vessels.<\/p>\n

The goal of the acquisition is to accelerate decision-making and achieve more integrated business operations to facilitate the growth of KWS\u2019s business and enhance the corporate value of the \u201cK\u201d LINE Group as a whole.<\/p>\n

Date of Share Acquisition: March 31, 2026.<\/p>\n

Kawasaki Kinkai Kisen, together with Offshore Operation Co., Ltd.,*1 will continue to support KWS\u2019s businesses as part of the \u201cK\u201d LINE Group.<\/p>\n

*1 A subsidiary of Kawasaki Kinkai Kisen. The company operates offshore support vessels in a wide range of fields, including support operations associated with marine resource development and offshore wind power projects, marine surveys, offshore construction, towing and maritime salvage.<\/p>\n
