Embraer held a groundbreaking ceremony today to mark the start of construction on its new Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facility for commercial jets at Perot Field Alliance Airport in Fort Worth.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The event brought together local officials, Embraer executives, and representatives from partner organizations.<\/p>\n

This new, state-of-the-art hangar is scheduled for opening by 2027. With the expanded infrastructure, Embraer\u2019s capacity to serve E-Jets customers in the United States will grow by 53%. The investment \u2013 expected to reach up to $70 million \u2013 is expected to create approximately 250 new skilled aviation jobs in Texas. In collaboration with the City of Fort Worth, Denton County, and the State of Texas, Embraer began operations at Alliance Airport in June at an existing hangar.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis groundbreaking of Embraer’s second building at AllianceTexas is a testament to Fort Worth\u2019s growing economy,” said Robert Allen, President and CEO of the Fort Worth Economic Development Partnership. \u201cOnce completed, these buildings will expand Embraer’s presence in Fort Worth and, just as important, will expand Fort Worth’s role as a leader in aviation. This is why the Governor has declared Fort Worth the Aviation and Defense Capital of Texas.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThis expansion is a strong signal of Denton County\u2019s rising role in the global aviation economy,\u201d said Denton County Judge Andy Eads. \u201cThanks to our partnership with Hillwood, companies like Embraer see the value of investing here, fueling regional business growth and long-term economic impact.\u201d<\/p>\n

The new Fort Worth service center will be part of Embraer\u2019s global network, which includes more than 80 Authorized Service Centers and 13 Embraer Owned Service Centers worldwide.<\/p>\n
