At the end of April 2025, Sarens successfully completed a demanding lifting operation along the A9 motorway near Amsterdam, the Netherlands. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Commissioned by Romein Beton, this short-term rental project involved the precise handling of 19 large concrete beams, each measuring up to 31,5 metres in length and weighing as much as 60,5 tonnes.<\/p>\n

Sarens was selected for this project thanks to its technical expertise, proven experience, and strong relationship with the client. The full scope was delivered in just three days: one day for mobilisation, one for lifting, and one for demobilisation. Despite a tight schedule, the team completed the operation safely and efficiently.<\/p>\n

One of the main challenges was managing the permitted outrigger pressures and limited space available for the crane installation. Thanks to careful preparation and expert coordination, these constraints were effectively addressed.<\/p>\n

Lifting operations began at 07:00, with all 19 beams successfully placed within the same day. The beams, ranging in weight from 42 to 60,5 tonnes, were lifted at a radius of 31 metres. The entire operation ran according to plan without disruption, supported by a three-person crew working in close coordination.<\/p>\n

The lifting equipment performed reliably throughout the project. Representatives from the equipment manufacturer were also present on site to assist with unpicking and installing the beams, ensuring optimal handling during key phases of the operation.<\/p>\n

Though brief in duration, this project forms part of the ongoing upgrade to the A9 corridor, which plays a critical role in the regional transport network. Sarens\u2019 contribution highlights its ability to deliver high precision lifting solutions on complex sites and under time constraints. Jaap Zwarthoed, who oversaw the operation, noted: \u201cThe team executed each step with professionalism and efficiency. The operation was smooth, safe, and a perfect example of Sarens\u2019 capabilities in high precision lifting under logistical constraints.\u201d<\/p>\n

This project once again demonstrates Sarens\u2019 commitment to delivering expertly engineered lifting solutions, on time, on target, and with safety and precision at the forefront.<\/p>\n
