Altius S.A., part of Grupo Altius representing Spain, Bolivia, and Argentina in the Project Logistics Alliance, has successfully completed the intricate transport of a 196-ton transformer from Shanghai, China, to the Valle Solar Photovoltaic Plant in Ayora, Spain.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The operation began with the shipping of the cargo from the Port of Shanghai to the Port of Valencia. Due to road restrictions, the transformer continued by rail to Almansa before embarking on a multi-stage road journey to the substation in Ayora.<\/p>\n

One part of the operation required a challenging nighttime operation with a full traffic closure due to the technical complexity and to ensure safe passage. Upon arrival, the transformer was unloaded using a gantry and transferred onto a skidding system, allowing precise positioning onto its foundation. The installation was completed using jacking operations.<\/p>\n

Projects of this scale shed light on the company\u2019s expertise when it comes to meticulous planning and technical coordination to ensure safe and efficient delivery. Well done, team Altius!<\/p>\n
