ABL proudly marks a significant milestone this week as its Nigeria office celebrates 15 years of dedicated service to the country\u2019s energy and maritime industries. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Since its establishment in 2010, ABL Nigeria has grown from a local presence into a trusted partner in some of the nation\u2019s most transformative offshore and infrastructure projects.<\/p>\n

Founded as LOC Nigeria under the leadership of Philip Atitebi, the Lagos-based office has evolved into a key regional hub for ABL\u2019s global operations. Over the past decade and a half, the team has delivered expert marine and engineering consultancy, marine warranty surveying, and risk services across Nigeria\u2019s offshore oil and gas landscape.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt has been an honour to support Nigeria\u2019s energy and maritime sectors with dedication, expertise, and integrity. Our journey has always been defined by partnerships, with our clients at the heart of every milestone.\u201d Philip Atitebi, ABL Managing Director for Lagos.<\/p>\n

A standout example of ABL Nigeria\u2019s impact is its involvement in the Egina Field Development, located in Oil Mining Lease (OML) 130, approximately 200 km offshore from Port Harcourt. The project, operated in ultra-deep waters (1150\u20131750m), includes: A Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) unit with a capacity of 208,000 barrels per day and 2.3 million barrels of oil storage; A Subsea Production System (SPS) and Umbilicals, Flowlines, and Risers (UFR) connecting 44 subsea wells; An Offshore Loading Terminal (OLT) located 2 km from the FPSO.<\/p>\n

ABL provided marine warranty and engineering services throughout the project lifecycle, supporting local content development by overseeing the construction and integration of FPSO modules in Nigeria.<\/p>\n

In recent years, ABL Nigeria has continued to deepen its local engagement. In 2025, the team hosted its first delegation at SAIPEC and launched new initiatives with the Port of Lagos, reinforcing its commitment to local content and capacity building.<\/p>\n
