CHS Container Group, a partner of the Project Logistics Alliance, has announced the opening of its newest U.S. facility in Monroe, North Carolina. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Operating as CHS Container Carolinas LLC, the site is expected to create 30 jobs in the Charlotte region over the next five years.<\/p>\n

The Monroe facility, located at 2203 Stafford St Ext, is the company\u2019s second major U.S. expansion in just twelve months. Fully operational and open to the public by appointment, the new facility provides container rentals, sales, and modifications to customers in Charlotte and across the Carolinas, serving rural businesses. CHS Container Group\u2019s expansion in North America has been fast, moving over 15,000 containers last year and establishing the company\u2019s first U.S. depot in Memphis, Tennessee. Further rapid U.S. expansion plans by CHS Container Group are underway.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur site selection process brought us to communities across the Southeast, and Monroe consistently stood out,\u201d said Christian Leopold, Managing Director at CHS Container Group. According to Leopold, the company found not only a robust logistics infrastructure and promising growth, but also \u201ca workforce and local leadership committed to building long-term partnerships\u201d. Therefore, CHS Container Group looks forward to bringing its international expertise while aligning with the priorities of the Monroe community.<\/p>\n

CHS Container Group leverages specialized expertise to transform retired shipping containers into storage units or outfit them for use as workshops, offices, and other modular buildings. This process of repurposing containers extends their lifecycle and reduces environmental impact. CHS Container Group\u2019s Monroe facility houses an extensive inventory of new and used containers in various sizes, along with popular modifications such as doors, windows, vents, and electrical installations.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs brick-and-mortar costs continue to rise, shipping containers can offer local businesses flexible space without the burden of traditional real estate,\u201d said Bill Franzke, General Manager at CHS Container Group USA. \u201cEvery dollar a local business saves on storage or rent is a dollar they can reinvest elsewhere.\u201d<\/p>\n
