Total Movements delivers Kiln Shells to India
Total Movements, a member of the Project Logistics Alliance representing Indonesia, has successfully completed the door-to-port transportation of approximately 2,200 CBM of Kiln Shells from the supplier’s factory to a designated load port in Southern India.
The project involved end-to-end management of the logistics chain, including cargo pick-up, loading of the shells onto hydraulic axles, and transporting them across a distance of roughly 800 kilometres.
Key highlights of the operation included the following: Transporting large-diameter cargo with each shell measuring up to 7 metres; Executing en route civil works to ensure smooth delivery; Coordinating multi-state transportation logistics; Implementing HT/LT line shutdowns at strategic points to accommodate the cargo height; Navigating dense tree cover along the entire route, which required careful planning to ensure safe passage.
The success of this operation showcases the capabilities of team Total Movements when it comes to handling dimension-critical cargo. Additionally, the process highlights the ability of the company to deliver complex logistics solutions through challenging terrains.
