Rhenus expands Fresh vertical in Chile
The Rhenus Group, a leading global logistics service provider, officially announced the expansion of its perishable vertical, Rhenus Fresh, in Chile.
With a dedicated team of specialists spearheading this venture, Rhenus Chile will provide fresh logistics services, ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of temperature-sensitive products such as fruits, vegetables, meats, fish, and other time-critical perishables.
This development represents a significant milestone for the company in the Latin American (LATAM) region, expanding the organization’s expertise in perishable cargo to better support Chile while leveraging the country’s growing demand for the exports of fresh products. Rhenus Fresh is a tailored logistics solution created specifically for the transportation of perishable goods globally.
As the first country in the LATAM region to become a part of this rapidly growing vertical within Rhenus, Chile is strategically positioned to serve domestic and international markets. Chile ranks among the world’s largest fruit exporters and the largest in the Southern Hemisphere. According to the Chilean Fruit Exporters Association, Chile exports more than 2.6 million tons of fruit annually to more than 100 countries worldwide.

Rhenus Chile operations go beyond fruits, exporting meats like lamb to Hong Kong and wagyu to Canada, which are sourced from the Punta Arenas region in Chile.
