Bollore Transport & Logistics delivers for CIPREL 5
In February 2022, Bolloré Transport & Logistics Côte d’Ivoire successfully delivered 5 electrical transformers, 2 reactors and various electrical equipment for the construction of the CIPREL 5 thermal power plant.
These materials, composed of 3 autotransformers of 175 tons, 2 transformers of 80 tons, 2 reactors of 53 tons and various electrical equipment of 290 tons, are intended for the construction of 2 transformer stations for the transport of electrical energy produced on the CIPREL 5 site in Côte d’Ivoire, of Jacqueville, in direction of the industrial zone of Akoupé-Zeudji.
To carry out this operation in the best possible conditions, Bolloré Transport & Logistics teams deployed innovative logistics solutions at the port of Abidjan, adapted to the reception and handling of electrical equipment from Europe. The materials were then transported by road to the operating sites and received by the client Vinci Energies.
“Bolloré Transport & Logistics’ teams have achieved a new feat by carrying out this transport operation for the CIPREL 5 project. Our expertise in industrial projects allows us to meet all logistical challenges by developing specific solutions for our customers and to reinforce the quality of our services in key sectors such as energy.”, said Joël HOUNSINOU, General Director of Bolloré Transport & Logistics Côte d’Ivoire.
As a leading logistics operator, Bolloré Transport & Logistics is making a lasting contribution to Côte d’Ivoire’s growth dynamic through this project and is helping the country to establish an energy hub for West Africa. The CIPREL 5 project, with a capacity of 390 megawatts, should enable Côte d’Ivoire to reach a productivity of 2,500 megawatts and thus cover the energy needs of the entire population.
